Formation in Faith

All students in grades 1-8 attend Mass Monday thru Thursday. On Friday, our students gather in multi-grade school families to participate in a prayer and faith-based activity at the beginning of the school day.

Kindergarten students attend Mass once per week at the beginning of the year, and gradually build up to daily Mass attendance.  The Angelus is prayed every day at the lunch hour.  Students pray regularly in their classrooms at the beginning and end of each day.  Students attend Adoration and Benediction twice per month. Other prayer forms the students are exposed to are Prayer Services, the Stations of the Cross, and the recitation of the Rosary.

Students in 2nd grade prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist.  Parents/Guardians are required to attend informational meetings for Sacramental Preparation.

Students in grades 2 – 8 participate in school Reconciliation services during Advent and Lent.

Students in grade 7 prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the spring of each year.  Parents/guardians and sponsors are required to attend informational meetings for Sacramental Preparation.

Our 8th Graders are also invited to attend the Generation Life gathering in January. Information on this program can be found here.
